Luxa 700 Bioclimatic Pergola
BIO 700Economical, Ecological & Functional
The Luxa 700 is a motorised bioclimatic pergola engineered for year-round outdoor living. Its adjustable aluminium louvre blades rotate up to 115°, giving you precise control over sunlight, shade, and natural ventilation — without any electrical cooling or heating. When the blades are slightly tilted, warm air escapes upward while cooler air flows down to the seating area below, creating a natural bioclimatic effect that keeps temperatures comfortable even on the hottest days. Close the louvres fully and the roof becomes a sealed, waterproof surface with an integrated drainage system that channels rainwater silently through concealed gutters inside the columns. The entire structure is manufactured from extruded 6063-T5 aluminium — lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and 98% recyclable. Every surface is finished with TIGER Coatings industrial powder coat, tested to withstand UV radiation, salt spray, and temperature extremes without fading or chalking. The Luxa 700 is available in standard modules from 3×3m to 4×6m, with a maximum single-span width of 4 metres. For larger areas, multiple modules can be coupled side by side or in an L-configuration, sharing columns to maximise the open floor area beneath. The reinforced connection system uses quick-connect fittings that reduce on-site assembly time by approximately 30% compared to conventional bolt-and-nut construction. Whether you are covering a residential terrace, a restaurant patio, or a hotel poolside area, the Luxa 700 delivers reliable weather protection with architectural elegance.

Common Questions.
Yes, the Luxa 700 features a motorised system with remote control for easy and comfortable operation of the louvre blades. The motor is integrated inside the roof profile for a clean appearance. Compatible with Somfy, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa for voice and app control.
The structure is manufactured from extruded 6063-T5 aluminium, offering high strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and long-term outdoor durability. All joints use stainless steel fasteners. Aluminium is 98% recyclable — making the Luxa 700 an environmentally responsible choice.
Standard modules: 3×3, 3×4, 3×5, 4×4, 4×5, and 4×6 metres. Maximum single-span width is 4 metres. For larger terraces, multiple modules can be coupled together, sharing intermediate columns. Custom dimensions are available on request.
Yes, extensively. Choose from any RAL colour with TIGER Coatings powder coat. Add LED lighting (warm white strips in roof profiles and columns), infrared heating panels, Bluetooth speakers, ZIP screens for side enclosure, or glass sliding walls. The system adapts to your vision.
The Luxa 700 is suitable for residential terraces, rooftop patios, garden areas, restaurant and cafe outdoor dining, hotel pool decks, and commercial courtyards. It can be installed freestanding on four columns or wall-mounted (lean-to) against an existing building.
The louvre blades open up to 115°, allowing daylight to filter in at any angle and providing natural air circulation. At 90° the blades are fully vertical, giving maximum ventilation. Beyond 90° they tilt further to let in low winter sun.
When the louvre blades are fully closed, the roof forms a sealed waterproof surface. An integrated gutter system channels rainwater through the concealed drainage inside the columns. The system handles standard rainfall effectively — for heavy storms, the drainage capacity depends on the module size.
The Luxa 700 is rated for snow loads up to 150 kg/m² in standard configuration, meeting the EN 1991 structural standard for most European regions. Higher snow load ratings are achievable with additional support columns or reinforced profiles — consult your dealer for site-specific engineering.
The structure is tested to withstand wind speeds in accordance with EN 1991 loading standards. In high wind conditions, the louvres should be set to fully open or fully closed position depending on the wind direction. An optional wind sensor can automate this adjustment.
A standard single-module Luxa 700 (e.g. 4×4m) is typically installed in one working day by a two-person team. The quick-connect system and pre-assembled components minimise on-site work. Electrical connection for the motor requires a qualified electrician.
Building permit requirements vary by country, region, and municipality. In Germany, pergolas under 30 m² are often exempt in many Bundesländer, but local building authorities (Bauamt) should always be consulted. Your PONARC dealer can assist with the necessary documentation and static calculations.
The Luxa 700 requires minimal maintenance. Clean the aluminium frame and louvres 2–3 times per year with water and mild soap. Clear the drainage channels of leaves and debris before autumn and after winter. Lubricate moving parts annually. The powder-coated surface does not require repainting.
